Logan Paul Admits He Almost Killed Rey Mysterio At WWE Crown Jewel
Logan Paul and Rey Mysterio went head-to-head at Crown Jewel and things almost ended very badly for the WWE Hall of Famer.
Logan Paul captured the first title of his WWE career at Crown Jewel when he defeated Rey Mysterio for the United States Championship. However, things almost went very wrong in the match and Paul has received credit for literally leaping into action to prevent Mysterio from suffering a nasty landing and potentially serious injury to go with it.
Speaking on his Impaulsive podcast, Logan Paul addressed what has been said about the moment and admitted that he made an error that led to the scary moment in the first place:
I’m going to come clean because I’ve seen all these positive headlines. ‘Logan saves Rey Mysterio.’ The Mexican community is going crazy, they’re praising me, saying I’m sort of a hero. I’m like, ‘Dang, I’m getting recognized for something cool? I’ll take it.’ Then, I looked at the clip, upon assessing my performance, while I think I did save Rey Mysterio. I think I also almost killed Rey Mysterio.
I think I was too far back for the move, and I think he didn’t clear enough ground for the move. That’s what happened. I was too far back, he didn’t clear enough ground, we both made a mistake. I had to catch him, I had to catch him. I wasn’t going to not catch him. Truthfully, while I like the headlines and I like getting gassed up, I was just doing my job. I’ll take the praise.
The tough part is when I caught him, I was in like a spider-knee position. I have compromised knees, so maybe they could have snapped.

Logan Paul Win Causes Collapse In LWO
Logan Paul won the US Title with the help of some brass knucks that were introduced to ringside by one of his minions. Santos Escobar chased said minion off but inadvertently left the weapon in easy reach of Paul who used them to KO Mysterio and pick up the win.
Carlito placed the blame for Mysterio’s loss entirely on Escobar on SmackDown which ended with Santos Escobar attacking Rey Mysterio and splitting from the LWO.
