LA Knight Proves To Be Ratings Hit On WWE Raw

LA Knight blunt force trauma on The Miz

Did LA Knight pull in the viewers on Raw? You know the answer.

LA Knight has been the people’s choice for most of 2023 in WWE now with crowds getting behind him at shows and with their money at the merch table despite him not always being featured in high-profile slots on shows.

Many fans had expected Knight to capture the Money In The Bank briefcase in London, England but in the end, that victory went to The Judgment Day’s Damian Priest. WWE was said to be considering the right time to pull the trigger on Knight and they may have begun his climb to the top when he won the Slim Jim Battle Royal at SummerSlam.

Although LA Knight is a SmackDown star, he made a splash when he confronted The Miz on Monday Night Raw. The two engaged in a war of words before Knight flattened the former WWE Champion with Blunt Force Trauma.

LA Knight proved a hit with viewers on Raw

Talking about the television ratings on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer noted that despite not being a Raw talent, the viewers tuned in for LA Knight’s segment on the show:

“The one segment in the Raw ratings – there’s ups and downs and all that through the show of course – but the one segment that did way over what the best segment would normally do was the Miz and LA Knight thing.

“So if you’re wondering about LA Knight, he’s selling merch, he’s getting pops, does it translate to ratings? The answer is yes, it does. It worked.”

Although the only gold he has held during his WWE career has been the Million Dollar Championship, Knight spelled out his ambitions to one day claim a world title in the company.
