Jade Cargill Becomes Longest-Reigning AEW Champion In History
Jade Cargill has set a record in AEW recently as she became the longest-reigning AEW Champion in the history of the company.
When Jade Cargill made her pro wrestling debut in March 2021, she impressed a lot of people right away. Due to her impressive physique and look that made her stand out, it was easy to see why AEW’s bosses were high on her.
On January 5th, 2022, Cargill became the first-ever TBS Champion. It was the second women’s title to be introduced to AEW due to Dynamite being moved to TBS at that point.
Recently, Cargill’s title reign passed 373 days as the TBS Champion. That broke the record for the longest title reign in all of AEW, which was the 372-day title reign of Hikaru Shida as the AEW Women’s World Champion from May 23, 2020 to May 30, 2021.
In addition to holding the TBS Championship for more than one year, Jade Cargill also has an impressive win-loss record with 48 wins and zero losses. Cargill didn’t win the Casino Battle Royale at All Out 2021, but that’s not considered a loss on her record.
Cargill also has her own stable in AEW with a group of women known as The Baddies. The group has had its issues, however, just like most stables in pro wrestling.
During her AEW career, the 30-year-old Cargill has picked up victories over the likes of Ruby Soho, Thunder Rosa and Athena.
On Twitter recently, Cargill reacted to a fan that mentioned her record-setting title reign while she noted it’s only her second year as a wrestler.
Another check in the record books. I mean itโs only my second year ๐ ๐พ๐ ๐พ https://t.co/9g1WyB8C6S
