How Liv Morgan’s WWE Return Could Turn Dominik Mysterio Babyface
Liv Morgan and Dominik Mysterio are two of the most popular heels in WWE.
While Mysterio continues to uphold his position, Morgan has been written off and is recuperating after suffering an injury on the June 16 episode of RAW.
In the meantime, the writers have introduced Roxanne Perez as Morgan’s replacement in The Judgment Day. Perez, seemingly acting on Finn Balor’s orders, is working to create a rift between Mysterio and Morgan.
According to reports, Liv Morgan is expected to return in early 2016, giving the storyline ample time to develop.
During a recent episode of his podcast, Sam Roberts of Notsam Wrestling answered a fan query about Dominik potentially turning babyface and joining Tiffany Stratton.
Roberts raised objection towards the theory, claiming that would make Stratton and Mysterio both heels.
I think that Dom will be a babyface with Liv Morgan. I think that as hot as Dom and Rhea were, like as a story, somehow Liv Morgan and Dominik worked even better. And no one saw that coming. I’m Team Liv-Dom.
I think, like, as Liv is coming back, maybe you start pushing towards there’s a closeness between Roxanne and Dom, and then Roxanne gets completely left in the lurch by Dominik Mysterio. He goes with Liv Morgan. [1:17:18 onwards]
Dominik Mysterio Shares An Update On Relationship With Liv Morgan
Liv Morgan being written off was unexpected, and despite their heel status, she and Dominik Mysterio were adored by the WWE Universe.
So, naturally, fans have wondered about their relationship status as they rarely get to see each other.
While appearing on The Wrestling Classic podcast, the 28-year-old shared that he and Morgan were stronger than ever despite the physical distance.
When asked if they were in touch, he reacted positively.
Of course. We’re on great terms. I talk to her almost every day — in Texas, right before SummerSlam, you know? We’re like this (very close).
