GUNTHER Passes WWE Legend During Intercontinental Title Reign
The Intercontinental Championship reign of GUNTHER has seen him pass another WWE legend in terms of days holding the prestigious title.
It seems like every week there is some sort of milestone being met by GUNTHER as he continues his epic reign as the WWE Intercontinental Champion. It was two weeks ago today when GUNTHER reached 400 days as the Intercontinental Champion.
In a graphic posted by WWE on Twitter/X, they noted that GUNTHER’s Intercontinental Title reign puts him at 414 days, which is one more day than Randy Savage’s epic title reign in 1986-87.

Next up is Pedro Morales at 424 days followed by the 453-day record held by The Honky Tonk Man. For GUNTHER to set the record as the longest Intercontinental Champion, he has to hold the title until September 8th.
It was on the June 10th, 2022 edition of WWE Smackdown when GUNTHER defeated Ricochet to become the Intercontinental Champion. Since then, GUNTHER has beaten everybody put in front of him. After GUNTHER was drafted to Raw in the WWE Draft over two months ago, the Intercontinental Title came with him.
