Ex-WWE Star Challenges AEW To Sign Vince McMahon

Vince McMahon WWE

With talk of Shane McMahon possibly appearing in AEW, one ex-WWE star wants to see Tony Khan sign up Vince McMahon.

AEW announcer Jim Ross set alarm bells ringing when he innocently commented that Shane McMahon in AEW was “so crazy it might work” on an episode of his podcast. It then emerged that McMahon had discussed a possible AEW appearance with friends in the company in what would surely be Tony Khan’s biggest coup yet.

Tony Khan initially distanced himself from suggestions about Shane McMahon appearing in AEW but the door remains open for the man who once called the WWE his family business.

Now one former WWE and ECW star wants to see AEW go one better.

From WWE To AEW For Vince McMahon?

Speaking on The Stevie Richards Show, ex-WWE star Stevie Richards explained that he wanted AEW to go after Vince McMahon although he admits it’s a long shot:

I would go as far as to say try to get Vince. That would be nuts. You talking about a guy who has a chip on his shoulder right now? Don’t think because he’s 77, 78 years old and he walks with a cane and he has a villain moustache that this dude doesn’t miss the fight.

He’s fighting now for a lot of different things in court and legal stuff but he still has it in him to want to. Just think about that I mean and that’s really, Shane’s an outlier at a percentage of probably I would say between 10 and 30%. Vince between 1 to 8% but it’s still kind of a cool fantasy booking.

Vince McMahon has been accused of serious sexual assault in a lawsuit that led to him resigning as Executive Chairman of WWE’s parent company, TKO. That lawsuit has now been put on hold as the US Government continues its own investigation into the disgraced former WWE boss.
