Ex-AEW star Miro has made his in-ring comeback amidst speculation of a return to WWE.

The Bulgarian star departed Tony Khan’s organisation in early February 2025 after a five year stint that included a 140 day reign as AEW TNT Champion.

Miro’s release had long been anticipated having not been seen on AEW television since defeating Andrade El Idolo at AEW Worlds End in December 2023. It was a bout that also proved to be Idolo’s final AEW appearance, with the former NXT Champion returning to WWE as a surprise entrant in the 2024 Royal Rumble match just four weeks later.

Speculation is rife that Miro is set to make a return to WWE where he previously spent a decade having signed a developmental deal in 2010. During that time Miro spent 6 years on the main roster and captured the WWE United States Championship on three occasions.

With rumours about a move to WWE still abound, the 39 year-old star made his return to the squared circle after a 14 month absence to battle former League Of Nations team mate Alberto El Patron at QPW Super Slam III in Doha, Qatar on the 22nd February.

AEW Signing Breaks Silence

One man who will be competing in AEW for the foreseeable future is ‘Speedball’ Mike Bailey.

The 34 year-old Canadian star has joined Tony Khan’s organisation following the conclusion of his contract with TNA Wrestling.

The former three-time TNA X-Division Champion has since broken his silence to reveal his excitement at the switch.
