Death Triangle Wins AEW Trios Tag Team Titles
There are new Trios Tag Team Champions in AEW because the Death Triangle trio of Pac, Penta El Zero Miedo & Rey Fenix were victorious in a match to capture the newly vacated titles.
At the All Out pay-per-view on September 4th, The Elite trio consisting of Kenny Omega & The Young Bucks (Matt & Nick Jackson) beat the Dark Order trio of “Hangman” Adam Page, John Silver & Alex Reynolds to win the tournament to become the inaugural Trios Tag Team Champions.
Later that same night, The Young Bucks & Omega got into a backstage fight with the now former AEW World Champion CM Punk & AEW Producer Ace Steel in an ugly incident that apparently left Nick with a black eye after Steel threw a chair while Steel apparently bit Omega at one point. Punk also suffered an injury at All Out that was likely made worse in the fight. It is believed that everybody involved in the fight as well as some others have been suspended by AEW with rumors that Punk & Steel may be out of the company altogether. Nothing was official before Dynamite aired this week.
Early on during the September 7 edition of Dynamite, AEW Owner/President/General Manager Tony Khan appeared to deliver a taped message. During that promo, Khan mentioned that the AEW World Title was vacated with a six-person Tournament of Champions while the Trios Tag Team Titles would be up for grabs in a match on Dynamite.
The match for the Trios Tag Team Titles featured the Death Triangle trio of Pac and The Lucha Brothers (Penta El Zero Miedo & Rey Fenix) taking on the Best Friends – Orange Cassidy, Chuck Taylor & Trent Beretta. Both of the popular teams had a lot of support from the Buffalo crowd, but in the end it was Pac hitting a Shooting Star Press onto Taylor for the pinfall win.

For Pac, it also means he has two titles in AEW right now because he’s also the All-Atlantic Champion.
As for The Elite trio and CM Punk, their names were never mentioned on Dynamite and they were also removed from the Dynamite intro video as well.
