Cody Rhodes Admits To Being A “Control Freak”

Cody Rhodes

Cody Rhodes has a lot of input in what his merchandise will look like.

The American Nightmare has admitted that he is very much a stats guy and wants to know where is his merchandise selling the most and likes to get granular with how everything looks. Thankfully for Rhodes, he is in an environment where people feel the same way and no longer feels alone in the process.

Speaking on the After The Bell podcast, Rhodes went into detail about his process of creating and analysing the items bought by the fans, and compared his methods to that of John Cena:

“Well the things that I appreciate for WWE are, it’s almost like we’re tailor-made for one another in a sense that I am a bit of a control freak. I wanna really have a say in what my merch will look like, I also wanna see how well that’s doing in every single market. Not just the general conversation once a week, every single market, not unlike I watched Cena do, not just that, but everything of the presentation. All of these things that I was really, I felt like I used to have to do it myself, there was a department at WWE that wanted to do it and knew how do it better than me.”

Cody Rhodes Dresses To Impress

When not scheduled to have a match in the following segment, Rhodes is often seen on WWE programming in a suit. In the same interview, the WrestleMania main eventer elaborated on why he dresses up for TV and how it originated while he was on the independent scene.
