Chris Jericho Tipped For WWE Return To Team With Ex-Champion

Chris Jericho

The rumors of Chris Jericho returning to WWE refuse to die.

The 54-year-old star is currently signed to AEW, but has not appeared on any of its shows since April of this year.

In his last appearance on Dynamite following his ROH World Championship title loss to Bandido at AEW Dynasty, Jericho seemed livid at his The Learning Tree stablemates, announcing that he was leaving for a while.

While he has been spotted in public a few times, the timeline for his in-ring return remains unknown.

In the meantime, it has also been reported that the AEW creative team has no storylines for the former world champion.

Amid all the drama, Chris Jericho liked a social media post that claimed he wouldn’t mind returning to the Stamford promotion someday, sparking discussions about his AEW future.

He was also rumored to be a part of John Cena’s retirement tour, considering their history as rivals, although it is unlikely, with only four dates remaining in his retirement tour, and Jericho still having a contract in AEW.

Legendary WWE Manager Predicts Chris Jericho Team-Up

While Chris Jericho has thrived as a singles performer, his tag team achievements never go overlooked either.

He is a 7-time WWE tag team champion, winning the title with multiple peers, including The Rock and Edge.

Legendary manager Dutch Mantell discussed Jericho’s possible return to the Stamford promotion on a recent Story Time With Dutch Mantell podcast.

He also suggested pairing the former champion with LA Knight, highlighting their personalities, believing they might have good chemistry together.

I think Jericho and LA Knight, I think they’d be a good team together. And then, you know, they’re both like smartasses with each other, especially Knight. I think they could really build something out of this I’d be interested in. Both those guys are good, so when you have an idea, you know, give it to those guys and let them. I think they would have great chemistry together, and I think they could have a good little run out of that. I’d be interested in it.
