Brock Lesnar Removed From WrestleMania Backlash
Former WWE Champion Brock Lesnar is no longer listed for WrestleMania Backlash despite previously being advertised to appear.
Brock Lesnar was last seen at WrestleMania 38 where he put his WWE Title on the line in a ‘Winner Take All Title Unification’ match against Universal Champion Roman Reigns. ‘The Head of the Table’ was able to move past his WrestleMania 31 and 34 defeats to ‘The Beast Incarnate’ as he pinned Brock Lesnar on ‘The Grandest Stage Of Them All’.
Lesnar was originally listed on WWE.com as a featured star set to be making an appearance at WrestleMania Backlash. The Wrestling Observer’s Dave Meltzer had also confirmed this.
“Lesnar is booked for two of the next three PPV shows, WrestleMania Backlash on 5/8 in Providence, RI (6,059 tickets out) and Money in the Bank at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas on 7/2.”
However, Brock Lesnar’s status for the show is now up in the air as he has been removed from advertising for WrestleMania Backlash. However, ‘The Conqueror’ is still listed for the Money In The Bank event in July.
Superstars still being advertised for WrestleMania Backlash include Roman Reigns, Cody Rhodes, Bianca Belair, Becky Lynch, Ronda Rousey, and Charlotte Flair. WWE Hall of Famer Edge is also featured on the event’s poster.
WrestleMania Backlash takes place on May 8th and, so far, two matches have been announced for the event. Seth Rollins will challenge Cody Rhodes in a WrestleMania rematch while Charlotte Flair will once again put her SmackDown Women’s Title on the line against Ronda Rousey, this time in an I Quit match.
