Bray Wyatt “Will Return To WWE” Says Mike Rotunda

Bray Wyatt

Bray Wyatt’s father, Mike Rotunda, is confident that his son will return to WWE.

Wyatt made his return to the company at Extreme Rules in October 2022, over a year after he had been unexpectedly released from his contract in July 2021.

After months of cryptic promos, Wyatt began a feud with LA Knight, leading to his only televised match since his return, the divisive Mountain Dew Pitch Black Match at the 2023 Royal Rumble.

After defeating Knight, the former Universal Champion made his intentions for WrestleMania 39 clear, he wanted to face the winner of a singles bout between Brock Lesnar and Bobby Lashley.

Lashley won the match, and a feud between the pair kicked off, however, only weeks before the Showcase Of The Immortals, Wyatt disappeared from television.

Bray Wyatt is recovering from “life-threatening” illness

His absence has since been revealed to be due to an illness that is said to have been “both career and life-threatening.” However, in positive news, on August 10th it was reported that while Wyatt is still not cleared to return, he is getting “closer” to making his comeback.

In a new interview with Bill Apter of Sportskeeda, Wyatt’s father, Mike Rotunda added to the good news when he revealed that he is sure his son will return to action “hopefully shortly.”

“Well, you know, you read a lot of stuff on the internet, which I wouldn’t believe a lot of it or, in my case, any of it. Bray Wyatt, I’m sure, will return to WWE hopefully shortly, and we’ll go from there.”

Prior to being taken off television, there were plans for Wyatt to be involved with both a returning Eric Young as well as reuniting with Alexa Bliss. However, Young has since returned to IMPACT Wrestling after requesting his WWE release, and Bliss is currently on maternity leave as she’s due to give birth in December.
