Becky Lynch Reacts To Steel Cage Match At WWE Payback – “We Crushed It”

Becky Lynch is more than proud of what she and Trish Stratus accomplished in their steel cage match at WWE Payback.

Lynch and Stratus had feuded for several months and their rivalry finally culminated in the first-ever women’s steel cage match in WWE history.

The match was delayed at least once by alleged changes in plans but the two women were still able to have their big blow-off match.

And while their match wasn’t in the main-event slot, Lynch still thinks she and Stratus set the bar high for WWE Payback, to the point that nothing could follow it, according to comments she made while speaking with Chris Van Vliet.

“Yeah, we crushed it we stole the damn show, started it off, it was all downhill from there. No, it wasn’t, it was actually a great, great show. But we started off hot, I think like a few chips on our shoulder story had been going on for a long time, maybe not getting the steam that necessarily we wanted, and being left off SummerSlam obviously.

I understand why these decisions are made, but really wanted to go out there and prove it and getting that time, getting that steel cage match was the perfect way to finish it. You know, match of our life.”

What’s next for Becky Lynch?

After defeating Stratus at Payback, Becky Lynch appears to be in a mood to pay back those that helped her get to where she is now as she recently returned to NXT to compete for and feud over the NXT Women’s Championship.
