Becky Lynch Breaks Silence After Shock Title Loss

Becky Lynch was stunned at Halloween Havoc when she was defeated for her NXT Women’s Championship.

On night one of Halloween Havoc, Becky Lynch was tasked with facing fellow Irishwoman Lyra Valkyria in the main event for the NXT Women’s Championship. Lynch had won the title that she had never held during her first run on the brand from Tiffany Stratton on the 12th of September edition of NXT television.

Valkyria booked her title match by defeating Indi Hartwell and Roxanne Perez in a number one contender’s match back on the 3rd of October and at Halloween Havoc she made the most of her opportunity.

With Jade Cargill watching on, Lyra Valkyria survived a Manhandle Slam from the champion before rolling up Lynch to claim the win and the NXT Women’s Title.

After the match, Becky Lynch presented the new champion with the title belt and raised her hand. Taking to social media afterwards, Lynch went one step further with her endorsement of the new champion, writing:

“The future is bright”

Becky Lynch was not the only champion to suffer a title loss on night one of NXT Halloween Havoc as The Family – Tony D’Angelo and Channing Lorenzo – dropped the NXT Tag Team Championship to Chase U.
