Asuka Gets Emotional Addressing Recent Heartbreak In Rare English Promo

Asuka

Asuka is dealing with a major heartbreak.

Her grief involves her former Damage CTRL factionmate Iyo Sky.

The Empress of Tomorrow, who is currently paired as The Kabuki Warriors with Kairi Sane, got into a verbal argument with Sky on the August 11 episode of WWE RAW.

During the taping, Sky faced Roxanne Perez in a singles match and requested that The Kabuki Warriors not get involved in the match.

Despite that, Asuka and Sane interfered after noticing that the numbers were against Iyo Sky, but inadvertently cost her the bout.

Both Sky and Asuka argued backstage, which resulted in the latter shoving the former Women’s World Champion in anger.

The 43-year-old star apologized to Sky for her actions on the latest RAW episode, as Sky again requested that they stay out of her match against Raquel Rodriguez.

This time, The Kabuki Warriors duo complied, but Iyo Sky found help in another ally in Rhea Ripley after the numbers were again stacked against her.

Asuka expressed her grievance to Sky, as their backstage segment ended with Asuka arguing with Ripley.

Asuka Confirms Splitting With Iyo Sky

The former 4-time Women’s Champion took to her YouTube channel to address her strained relationship with Iyo Sky.

In a rare English promo, the Japanese star claimed to be angry with her 35-year-old compatriot.

I’m still really angry. But today, I want to take this chance to talk about what IYO and I have been through. IYO and I teamed up back in Japan. In Japanese wrestling, there’s a very strict senpai–kohai system. Since I debuted before her, I was the senpai (senior), and IYO was the kohai (junior). Normally, that means the junior must follow everything the senior says. But I never wanted to treat IYO like that. To me, that culture had no meaning, no value. So, I didn’t follow that tradition. Instead, we went beyond it, we teamed up, went into different promotions together, trusted each other, and fought side by side.

Amidst the tension, Kairi Sane seems stuck between a rock and a hard place, as she is close to both Asuka and Iyo Sky.

In other news, Rhea Ripley will challenge Roxanne Perez on the August 25 edition of RAW from Birmingham, UK.
