WWE Star Calls The Usos “Some Of The Best Performers We Have”
When it comes to the best performers in WWE, one veteran wrestler believes The Usos are among the best in the company.
Over the last three years, The Usos (twin brothers Jimmy & Jey Uso) have been part of the incredible storyline involving their family known as The Bloodline. While things haven’t gone well in the last few months, Jey Uso was loyal to the “Tribal Chief” Roman Reigns for over two years and Jimmy was too.
During their most recent Tag Team Title reign, The Usos held the Smackdown Tag Team Titles for a record 622 days, which could be a record for a very long time.
Another tag team has had a dominant run in WWE during this era and that’s The New Day’s Kofi Kingston, Big E & Xavier Woods. While The New Day has had more title reigns than The Usos overall, due to The Usos being a team for longer and the current story in The Bloodline, some fans might rank The Usos above The New Day and all the other teams in WWE history.
Xavier Woods of The New Day was interviewed on the Superstar Crossover podcast where he talked about how talented The Usos are as WWE superstars,
“It’s been awesome seeing their growth throughout the company. So when they first came in, and then moving to face paint, and then turning heel, and then like really finding their legs and growing into what they are now. [They’re] some of the best performers that we have on the roster and they had been for a very long time, but the fact that they get to show it now and kind of live in it. I think that only makes you better, obviously.”
“It’s been great seeing this, this comeuppance that we’ve been seeing from Jey especially, because when people are coming into The Bloodline, he’s got to sit there and think, ‘Oh, I got my ass beat to get into this. Everybody’s just getting let in, what is this?’ So to see him finally pop off has been really awesome to see. Because it’s been a long time for him. It’s been a long time for both of them. So, right now is a really good time for them.”
Jey Uso Will Represent The Usos In The Main Event Of SummerSlam
The Usos have main evented multiple WWE PLE events this year including WrestleMania 39 Saturday and Money in the Bank earlier this month. They were also in the main event of Survivor Series with The Bloodline last November as well. Those were all tag team matches, but at SummerSlam, it will be different.
Jimmy Uso was taken out recently by Reigns and The Usos’ younger brother Solo Sikoa, so now Jey Uso goes into “Tribal Combat” against the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns in a match where anything goes.
Considering Jey Uso pinned Roman Reigns in the tag team match main event of Money in the Bank earlier this month, can he do it again with the big gold belt on the line? Find out at SummerSlam on August 5th in Detroit.
