Bully Ray Calls The Usos “Greatest Tag Team In WWE History”
The Usos are the greatest tag team in WWE history according to Bully Ray, who certainly knows quite a bit about being in a legendary tag team.
It has been an incredible run for The Usos (Jimmy & Jey Uso) since they debuted on the WWE roster 13 years ago in 2010.
Over the last three years, The Usos have had the best run of their careers as part of The Bloodline. Their most recent Tag Team Title reign saw them hold the Smackdown Tag Team Titles for a record 622 days, which could be a record for a very long time.
In addition to that, The Usos headlined WrestleMania 39 Saturday with Sami Zayn & Kevin Owens, who beat The Usos for the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Titles. It wasn’t just a main event match, but also considered by many people to be one of the greatest tag team matches in WWE history.
While speaking on Busted Open Radio, WWE Hall of Famer Bully Ray, who was part of the Hall of Fame Dudley Boys tag team, praised Jimmy & Jey Uso as the best tag team in the history of the company.
“It’s not even a thought for me anymore. To me, [the best tag team in WWE history is] The Usos and the reason is because when you look at the numbers of what The Usos have accomplished, I don’t think any other team can stake their claim. The most decorated teams of all time in the WWE, Hardys, New Day, Dudleys … we can look at the amount of times a team has won a championship and that’s kinda apples to apples.”
“We can look at what kind of matches or memorable matches teams have had, all this stuff, and everything is a bit of a wash when it comes to the upper-echelon of teams in the WWE. The Usos are involved in an A-storyline, that is generating major money for the WWE.”
As he continued, Bully Ray explained that The Bloodline story wouldn’t work without Jimmy & Jey Uso being a part of it due to their relationship to the Tribal Chief, Roman Reigns.
“To me, Jimmy and Jey Uso, greatest tag team in the WWE and they’re not even close to calling it quits.”
What’s also interesting about that incredible compliment from Bully Ray is that The Usos have been using the 1D finisher, which is like the 3D (Dudley Death Drop) that Bully Ray used as Bubba Ray Dudley with D-Von Dudley as The Dudley Boys during their legendary career. The Usos started using that move with The Dudley Boys’ blessing since it is one of the best tag team finishing moves of all time.
