WWE Star Undergoes Name Change After Exit Announced
One WWE star on their way out of the company has wasted no time in letting everybody know what their new name is.
WWE has let several contracts lapse in 2025, with the likes of Carlito, Karrion Kross, and Scarlett among those leaving the company. Famously, WWE was forced into a huge U-turn on R-Truth after he revealed he was being allowed to leave at the end of his deal.
Now, NXT star Ridge Holland has revealed that he has been told that his contract will not be renewed and he will become a free agent after November 14th. That move has caused some controversy as Holland is currently out of action after he suffered an injury in a TNA ring in a match against Moose.
Holland took to social media to express his frustration with the decision:
I’ve been informed that WWE will not be renewing my contract when it ends on November 14th. WWE are still going to cover my rehab from injury but my guaranteed pay will end, quite frustrating to say the least as I cannot work for another 6 months due to the aforementioned injury, with a family of 5 to support.
My career with WWE has been blighted by misfortune but I’m still thankful and grateful for the opportunity and experience. The shining light that has always kept me going is the HUGE support from a handful of special human beings. Thank you.
I’m unsure what lies ahead of me in terms of wrestling but going forward I will be working hard to heal up and in that time I will be launching my own online coaching business…..so stay tuned.
Ridge Holland Gets Rid Of WWE Name
Fans noted that Holland appears to have confirmed his name change as his time in WWE comes to an end, as he changed his social media to his real name, Luke Menzies.
During his time in WWE, Ridge Holland is sadly best known for his part in the injury that appeared to end the career of Big E. Holland delivered the overhead suplex to Big E that caused the serious neck injury that has kept him out of the ring for over three years.
