WWE Star Misses Raw After Late Changes To Show

Triple H on the mic WWE Raw

Late changes to Raw meant one WWE star missed out on an appearance.

Monday Night Raw saw the return of Jey Uso to the brand after Cody Rhodes announced he’d called in some favours to ensure Uso was still part of WWE after he walked out of the company following Jimmy Uso costing him the WWE Universal Title at SummerSlam.

With Uso now on Monday nights, it was confirmed that SmackDown will receive “trade compensation” as a result meaning a Raw star could be making the switch to Friday nights in the near future.

Sami Zayn was on hand to welcome Jey Uso to Raw after their long history with each other. Zayn noted that he was glad Uso chose to stand on his own two feet and walk away from The Bloodline. Zayn ended up competing on the show in a losing effort to JD McDonagh but Kevin Owens was nowhere to be seen.

WWE changed Raw plans late in the day

PWInisder has reported that despite it being mentioned on the show that Kevin Owens was not there, he actually was at the show and was originally slated to take on JD McDonagh but plans changed.

Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn lost the WWE Tag Team Championship at Payback to The Judgment Day duo of Finn Balor and Damian Priest.
