WWE Star Disputes Britt Baker’s PC Comments

A WWE star has clapped back at comments made about the Performance Center by AEW star Britt Baker.

Comments made by former AEW Women’s World Champion Dr. Britt Baker DMD in 2021 began making the rounds on social media recently prompting Baker to give some context to them. Baker had commented on the WWE Performance Center around the time that reports suggested WWE was looking to only recruit college athletes rather than anyone working on the independent wrestling scene.

Baker noted:

“I don’t think putting a bunch of models and athletes off the street in a warehouse and teaching them all to do the same thing the same way at the same time is going to create a successful roster.

People learn differently and they have different strengths and weaknesses, and sometimes you have to find out what those are on your own.”

With almost two years having passed since she made the comments, Britt Baker took to social media to add context to the historical quotes:

“This quote is out of context and incomplete. It’s from 2021 when WWE stated they would stop signing indie wrestlers and focus on pro-athletes.

“I think most pro wrestlers would tell you how valuable the independent wrestling circuit was to their development, and multiple girls you listed all came from the indies.”

Britt Baker’s comment didn’t go down well with one WWE star

Despite adding the context and explaining her statement, that didn’t stop WWE NXT talent Izzy Dame from taking a shot with her take on the situation:

Off the street is crazy😂 lol sit back and relax. The PC is in good hands with all us “athletes off the street” 😂🤦🏻‍♀️

Britt Baker was unable to repeat her success of 2022 and win the women’s Owen Hart Foundation Tournament but the star has got back to winning ways recently on Dynamite.

The AEW original picked up a win over Taya Valkyrie on Dynamite in Albany, New York but that match wasn’t without its critics with Valkyrie clapping back at them afterwards.
