WWE Star Credits Edge For Helping With Promos
A former Champion has thanked Edge for helping him with promos and to become a “better WWE Superstar”
Edge is one of the most decorated members of the WWE roster, winning multiple single and Tag Team accolades during a Hall of Fame career.
The Rated R Superstar reached another landmark and has been credited by a former United States Champion for being instrumental in them improving their promo work.
In January 2020 Edge shocked fans by being a surprise entrant during the Men’s Royal Rumble match, his first match since retiring in 2011 due to a neck injury.
During his match with Randy Orton at Backlash 2020, Edge tore his tricep, ruling him out of action. But even though he was not in the building, the Four-Time WWE Champion still made his presence felt by reaching out to Apollo Crews.
The former Intercontinental Champion has shared how Edge helped him feel more comfortable with his promos and on camera work.
Crews was joined by The Undertaker, Mick Foley, Natalya, Bianca Belair, and Sami Zayn in a special video released by WWE celebrating the 25th anniversary of Edge being a Superstar.
During the video, Crews discusses the impact Edge has had on his career.
“He had reached out to me when he sat with his triceps injury and wanted to help me with some of my promo work and he helped me a lot to find that comfort and just being comfortable on camera and being comfortable on a microphone,”
“Thank you for all the help and for taking your time to sit down and help me become a better WWE Superstar. Congratulations again and wish you nothing but the best.”
Last year Apollo Crews spent time working in NXT challenging Bron Breakker for the NXT Championship. During the 2023 Draft, Crews was snapped up by Raw.
Edge has spent the last year locked in a storyline with The Judgement Day, cumulating at WrestleMania 39 when the Hall of Famer defeated Finn Balor in a Hell in a Cell Match.
