WWE SmackDown Star Brutally Attacked
One WWE SmackDown star may have just been written off TV.
The fallout from SummerSlam continued on SmackDown as Charlotte Flair and Bianca Belair teamed up to face WWE Women’s Champion IYO SKY and Bayley in tag team action.
At SummerSlam, Belair had captured the WWE Women’s Title in a triple threat match against Flair and Asuka but her title reign proved to be one of the shortest in company history. After suffering an apparent knee injury in the match, Belair was at the mercy of Damage CTRL when IYO SKY decided to cash in her Money In The Bank contract to steal the championship.
Damage CTRL had the numbers advantage on SmackDown with Dakota Kai accompanying them to the ring for the bout despite still being months away from returning to action.
On SmackDown, Belair picked up the win for her team after nailing Bayley with the Kiss of Death but Damage CTRL had the last laugh later in the night.
During a backstage interview, Damage CTRL laid out Bianca Belair, even going as far as trapping Belair’s leg in a steel chair and stomping on it repeatedly. “Pillmanizing” someone’s leg has long been a way to write them off with some form of injury but it remains to be seen if that is the case here.

What else happened on WWE SmackDown?
It was a better night for Bianca Belair’s husband Montez Ford as he and Angelo Dawkins picked up a big win over Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson. After the match, The Street Profits celebrated once again with Bobby Lashley.
WWE Hall of Famer Edge may have wrestled his last match after defeating Sheamus in his hometown of Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
