WWE Raw Star To Be “Top Guy For A Long Time”

WWE monday night Raw set

Current WWE United States Champion Austin Theory was clearly destined for big things under Vince McMahon but it looks like that with or without McMahon, Theory is still looking at becoming a top guy in the company.

Austin Theory formed an on-screen partnership with Vince McMahon in what proved to be McMahon’s last involvement on WWE television before his short-lived retirement in July 2022. Theory was featured in a high-profile match against Pat McAfee at WrestleMania 38 which then led to the unlikely bout of McAfee taking on McMahon himself.

With Triple H now in charge of WWE creative and Theory losing his Money In The Bank briefcase in unceremonious circumstances, many had wondered what the future holds for the star, but the future still looks bright.

Dave Meltzer noted in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that WWE clearly has big plans for Austin Theory, potentially for years to come:

”Austin Theory vs. John Cena for the U.S. title. Theory is clearly a major project to be a top guy for a long time.”

Austin Theory has promised a “warm, warm welcome” for John Cena when he returns to Raw and it looks like those two men are on a collision course for another big match at WrestleMania 39.
