WWE Quietly Breaks Up 3-Time Tag Team Champions

Splitting up tag teams has been a common theme in WWE over the last few weeks.

Earlier, the fans learnt that the Austin Theory-Grayson Waller tag team had been disbanded due to Theory’s injury, which has kept him out of action since July.

This led to Waller cutting a scathing promo during an appearance on RAW reacap, where he buried Theory, labelling him a ‘deadweight.’

Then, it was the turn of Melo Don’t Miz. During the September 26 edition of SmackDown, the duo competed against The Street Profits to determine the challengers for The Wyatt Sicks’ tag team titles.

Despite being in a position to break a lethal pinfall, Carmelo Hayes chose not to, leaving The Miz to get pinned. In the subsequent weeks, both wrestlers carried out attacks on each other.

Now, it has been revealed that another WWE SmackDown pair has bid adieu to their alliance.

WWE Seemingly Spilts Pretty Deadly

Pretty Deadly last wrestled on SmackDown on May 2, 2025, when they unsuccessfully challenged Fraxiom in a tag team match.

It was subsequently learnt that Elton Prince had suffered an injury. Since then, his tag team partner, Kit Wilson, has been featured on Main Event.

Wilson returned to SmackDown in a backstage segment on September 19, where he came face-to-face with Damian Priest.

While that storyline didn’t go anywhere, Wilson confronted Carmelo Hayes on last week’s blue brand taping, setting up a match on October 31.

While The Miz provided a distraction, Wilson failed to capitalize and lost the match.

As he came out for the match, WWE had a new music play for Kit Wilson, sparking speculations about Pretty Deadly’s split. Pretty Deadly are a 3-time NXT tag team champions.
