WWE May Have Unintentionally Confirmed Signing Huge TNA Star
WWE might have unintentionally confirmed the signing of a top TNA star.
NXT Homecoming was a spectacular event by the Stamford promotion, where former stars of the brand competed against the present-day talent across different formats.
The show also included various backstage segments featuring stars, who have either moved on to the main roster or currently work in other roles.
One such ex-talent was Bobby Roode, who currently works as a match producer for WWE. Roode is also a one-time NXT Champion.
During a segment featuring NQCC’s Charlie Dempsey and Wren Sinclair, the 49-year-old appeared. Sinclair, obviously fangirling over him, requested the veteran star to perform his “Glorious” stance.
Seemingly in awe, she called the experience similar to that of Joe Hendry’s, which promoted the TNA star to appear from behind a closed door.
Hendry then began a conversation with Roode, which is where the latter seemed to have confirmed the TNA wrestler’s official signing with WWE.
Now that you are in NXT, there’s another championship that I once held that you need to focus on, and that’s the NXT title, Roode said.
There is no way of confirming whether the revelation was accidental or intentional, as the NXT nor WWE has released an official statement about it.
Winner Takes All Match Announced For WWE NXT
NXT Homecoming also saw the return of Grayson Waller to the brand, as he hosted The Grayson Waller Effect talk show.
On the show, current NXT Champion Oba Femi and his challenger at No Mercy, Ricky Saints, were the guests.
Midway through the segment, TNA Champion Trick Williams appeared and confronted Oba, wanting a shot at the title, too.
Waller interrupted them and proposed a Winner Takes All match on next week’s NXT, with the winner guaranteed to become a double champion.
Furthermore, Ricky Saints will challenge the winner for the NXT title at No Mercy.
WWE added another title match for No Mercy. Read all about it here.
