WWE May Be Planning A Shocking Seth Rollins Turn On Becky Lynch
Could WWE be planning a storyline where Seth Rollins turns on his wife Becky Lynch?
A legendary wrestling figure hopes so.
Bubba Ray Dudley recently discussed the storyline featuring Rollins, Lynch, CM Punk, and AJ Lee during his appearance on the Busted Open Podcast.
The 54-year-old especially lauded the Irish Lasskicker’s heel depiction, comparing it to her initial villainous stint, which he believes ‘fell flat on its face.’
Dudley claimed that Lynch appeared to have learnt from her mistakes and was currently stealing the show.
He also pressed for WWE to pursue an angle where she becomes incredibly annoying towards Rollins, forcing him to turn on her.
She’s doing such an incredible job of being…insert word here…whatever, of a heel that she’s starting to annoy her own husband. She’s starting to become a thorn in Seth’s side and it’s almost happening immediately.
The WWE Hall of Famer also recalled their segments from the September 8 RAW episode where Becky Lynch was seen bitching and moaning to Seth, whereas Rollins was trying to constantly calm her.
She’s even becoming a nuisance to Seth and that’s a layer that I can’t wait to see play out when he tells her, “Would you shut up already?!!!” This is gonna get good because the characters are over, all four of them, and they all have depth. And it’s real-life husband and wife versus husband and wife. I would be shocked if this failed.
Mixed Tag Team Match Finalized At WWE Wrestlepalooza
The Becky Lynch segment on RAW ended with the two couples finalizing a mixed tag team match at WWE Wrestlepalooza.
AJ Lee had taken away Lynch’s Intercontinental title, promising to return it in exchange for a mixed tag match.
A reluctant Becky Lynch told Seth Rollins to retrieve her belt, which prompted CM Punk to intervene.
Just as Punk lifted Rollins to hit him with a GTS, the World Heavyweight Champion managed to slip away and in frustration, agreed to Lee’s demand, much to the chagrin of Lynch.
Elsewhere, a popular WWE star shared backstage photos with AJ Lee, even recreating a moment from 11 years ago.
