WWE Director Of Longtime Creative Warns Fans Not To Miss Smackdown This Week
A key member of WWE’s creative team has issued a bit of a warning about how fans shouldn’t miss Smackdown this week.
The Friday, December 16th episode of WWE Smackdown is being built around the return of the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns. The “Tribal Chief” Reigns hasn’t appeared on WWE television since he led The Bloodline to victory at Survivor Series in the Men’s WarGames match in the main event.
Sami Zayn played a key role in The Bloodline’s win at Survivor Series. Zayn is known as the “Honorary Uce” in The Bloodline group with Reigns, Undisputed WWE Tag Team Champions The Usos (Jimmy & Jey Uso), Solo Sikoa, and “Special Counsel” Paul Heyman. During the WarGames match, Zayn stopped the referee’s count after Kevin Owens hit a Stunner on Reigns and it looked like Reigns was going to be pinned. Zayn also hit Owens with a low blow followed by a Helluva Kick. Jey Uso finished off Owens with an Uso Splash to get the win for the team.
After The Bloodline won at Survivor Series, Zayn received congratulatory hugs from Reigns and Jey. Since then, Jey has been on the same page with Zayn just like Reigns has wanted. As the group held their arms up together, Reigns stared at Zayn, which has led fans to wonder if Reigns really does trust Zayn.
On the December 9th edition of Smackdown, Jey Uso suggested to Zayn that he trims his beard and cuts his beard because Reigns will be back, so it could be a big night for Zayn.
On Twitter today, WWE’s Director of Longtime Creative Rob Fee tweeted this:
“I wouldn’t miss Smackdown this week. Don’t say I didn’t warn you.”
I wouldn’t miss Smackdown this week. Don’t say I didn’t warn you.

In October, it was announced that Fee was hired by WWE and has played a key role in the creative process for Bray Wyatt’s return that happened at Extreme Rules in October. Fee is also a longtime fan of professional wrestling and he was familiar with the product prior to working for WWE.
Prior to working for WWE, Fee worked as a horror writer that also worked at Marvel and was well-regarded for his work. Over the course of his career, Fee wrote comics for Spider-Man, Avengers, Daredevil and he was also a head writer on several Disney shows.
It is not known what Fee is tweeting about because it could be about The Bloodline group and the possibility that they turn on Zayn or perhaps it’s something else on the show.
Here’s what else WWE is advertising on Smackdown:
* Gunther defends the Intercontinental Title against Ricochet.
* Hit Row, Legado del Fantasma and The Viking Raiders to collide in Triple Threat Tag Team Match!
* Damage CTRL (Dakota Kai & IYO SKY) will defend the Women’s Tag Titles against Liv Morgan and Tegan Nox.
WWE will also tape the December 23rd episode of Smackdown after the December 16th episode of Smackdown airs on Fox. The tapings will take place in Chicago.
