WWE Hall Of Famer Suggests “The Other Place” Should Sign Elias
Could Elias be a future star in AEW?
The wrestler and musician was one of many names released from their contracts on September 21st, with many believing that this was done to save costs following the merger of WWE and Endeavour to create TKO Holdings. With all former talent having to wait until late December to appear for another promotion, speculation has grown regarding who, if anyone, will be signed by Tony Khan.
Speaking on the Oh… You Didn’t Know podcast, “Road Dogg” Brian James commented on the potential in-ring future of Elias, noting that AEW should add him to their roster:
“[He] 100% [has a future in wrestling],” James said. “If the other place doesn’t scoop him up, I just don’t know why you wouldn’t.”
With The Drifter being known for his instrumental abilities as well as his in-ring work, James commented “There’s money on the table with music.” It should also be noted that the former Raw star also released an album while signed with the company.
Elias’ Breaks Silence On WWE Release
The Drifter became a fan favourite during his time on the main roster, with musical interludes often being one of the highlights each Monday night. Feeling lucky to share the ring with John Cena and The Undertaker and travel around the world, the recently released star is very grateful for all of the opportunities and memories.
From Drifting onto the scene.. To WrestleMania with John Cena & The Undertaker.. To Millions around the world for years Walking With Elias.. A #1 ITunes Album & To being my own younger brother (ZEKE) while traveling the world.. It’s been a blast. God is Good!
