WWE Hall Of Famer Hopes Sting Retires At AEW All In

Sting AEW

Eric Bischoff believes that AEW All In should be the final in-ring appearance of Sting.

The Icon has been announced for a match at the Wembley Stadium show, teaming with Darby Allin to face AR Fox and Swerve Strickland in a Tag Team Coffin match.

With the Hall of Famer only having a handful of matches left in his career before hanging up the trenchcoat, many have wondered when the final in-ring appearance will be.

A man who has crossed paths with The Icon on multiple occasions is Eric Bischoff, who has a ton of respect for what the former World Champion has accomplished.

Speaking on Strictly Business, Buschoff believes that there is no greater way to end the legendary career than in front of a sold-out stadium:

“I want Steve Borden to experience the highlight of his career. Having the opportunity at this stage of his life and career to go out in front of 80,000 people and to get that reaction and that love and that energy and that support has to be the highlight of his career at least in one respect, for me that would be it …Why not go out on a high note?”

Bischoff continued, stating that anything other than the retirement match at All In would be a disappointment for The Icon and that Sting should not have any regrets:

“Why do you want to go from that to wrestling in front of 5,000 people on a Dynamite for TV? That’s not the best way to go out, go out on a high note,” he said. “Cherish every fraction of a second of this moment and then wave goodbye and go out with the biggest smile on your face that you possibly can and not wishing you’d have done something a little different.”

When Will Sting Retire From Wrestling?

The man who has competed in every major promotion in the United States has yet to give an official date on when he will have his final ever match. Despite being in his 60s, Sting can still be seen on Dynamite jumping from ladders and guardrails or crashing through tables.

Along with the final match, many are wondering who the final opponent will be for Sting. Fellow Hall of Famer Booker T has stated who he believes would be the “perfect” final opponent.
