WWE Hall Of Famer Reflects On First Match In 7 Years

WWE Hall of Fame logo over roster

A WWE Hall of Famer has given their thoughts on returning to the ring after a long absence.

IMPACT Wrestling recently held tapings for the 1000th episode of its weekly TV show, becoming only the second wrestling promotion in the United States to reach that impressive milestone.

To celebrate, the company brought back some stars of its past to compete and IMPACT Hall of Famers Bully Ray and D-Von Dudley reunited for the first time in seven years to take part.

Taking to social media, D-Von Dudley gave his thoughts on returning to the ring for the special 1000th edition of IMPACT Wrestling where he teamed up once again with long-time partner Bully Ray:

“Being back in the ring again after 7 years for the 1000 episode of TNA was truly amazing. I would to thank Bubba, Tommy Dreamer, Scott F. D’Amore and the whole impact locker, for welcome me back with open arms.

“Everybody in the locker room was truly respectful very genuine for my come back. I’ve said it before that this would be it, but you never know lol. Here is some video of what transpired last night.

“I’m a little sore, but to be expected training and off thank you fans to my family and all my friends support over the 32 year career. ……OH MY BROTHER TESTIFY!!!”

When did D-Von Dudley leave WWE?

The Dudley Boyz had their final match in WWE back on the SummerSlam Kick Off show in 2016 where they lost to Neville and Sami Zayn in New York City. Bully Ray left the company after that returning to compete elsewhere while D-Von took up a producing role in WWE. He lasted just over six years in that role, announcing that he’d left WWE in January 2023.
