WWE Figure Repairs Relationship With CM Punk

CM Punk WWE

The beef is over between CM Punk and a fellow WWE star.

Since CM Punk returned to WWE at Survivor Series the veteran has been on his best behaviour. Despite his reputation for causing problems backstage, WWE is reportedly impressed with Punk’s attitude and conduct since leaving AEW.

It’s been reported that CM Punk and Seth Rollins are working together in relative harmony, despite previous ill-feeling between them.

Meanwhile, Corey Graves has revealed he and Punk have settled their issues. Despite the pair being close friends for years, their fallout went public in 2018 with Graves accusing Punk of betraying him in a series of posts on social media.

Speaking with in an interview with Bill Apter for Sportskeeda WrestleBinge, Graves said that he got chance to speak to Punk at the Royal Rumble, and they cleared the air.

“I am proud to report that it’s all water under the bridge. It was actually at the Royal Rumble, I finally had a chance in person…I bumped into him briefly the night of Survivor Series backstage, but it was chaotic, he had just come back, everything was at 11 at the moment.

So the day of the Royal Rumble, at Tropicana Field, I actually got to pull him aside for a few minutes, and we cleared the air. Had a nice, long chat. We apologized for some things over the years and realized that this is where we both belong, this is where we both want to be, and it’s been a really exciting time for me personally to be able to rekindle a friendship that meant so much to me over the years.

I’m truly as excited to have Punk back here under the WWE banner as just about anybody,”

Back in 2023 before the reconciliation, Corey Graves said he would welcome CM Punk back to WWE, considering their issues to be in the past.

CM Punk Branded Tony Khan A “Clown” Prior To AEW Exit

Before heading back to WWE, Punk was sensationally fired just days after getting into a confrontation with Jack Perry at All In. After the incident where Tony Khan was also present, the AEW boss claimed he was fearing for his life.

Speaking in a recent interview, CM Punk recalled calling Tony Khan a clown, before telling him he quit, just minutes before walking to the ring at Wembley Stadium. Punk also claimed he asked to leave AEW before the launch of Collision, but Khan refused to grant him his release.
