WWE Currently Experiencing “A Lot Of Chaos”
With an impending takeover, uncertainty over who’s really running television, and champions swapping brands as part of the draft, it might not be a surprise that a new report says there’s chaos in WWE at the moment.
The WWE Draft was completed on Monday Night Raw in Fort Worth, Texas with the headline being that SmackDown Women’s Champion Rhea Ripley has been drafted to Raw. Raw Women’s Champion Bianca Belair headed in the opposite direction on Friday night and may have jumped the gun when she referred to herself as SmackDown Women’s Champion already.
Vince McMahon has been a hot topic in WWE since the start of the year after he returned to the company as Executive Chairman. McMahon’s position appears to have been bolstered by the impending takeover by Endeavor and following WrestleMania 39, it is believed he is having more say in the company’s creative direction once again.
Discussing the situation in the company on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer noted that chaos is running wild in WWE at the moment:
“So it’s very clear that again, people are being told different things that change all the time. It’s not like complete chaos, but there’s a lot of chaos.”
Whether things calm down following the draft which comes into effect following Backlash on the 6th of May remains to be seen.
