WWE Employees Believe Vince McMahon Changed Office Working Rules

Following some new office rules that are in place for WWE, there are some people who believe it was a Vince McMahon decision.

There was an email sent to WWE office staff this week to let them know that they will be required to work from the company’s Stamford, CT offices instead of working remotely at home.

The email was sent from WWE’s Chief Executive Officer Nick Khan, who has been a part of the company since 2020. That was the year when the world was going through changes because the COVID-19 pandemic was changing how some businesses were run. Suddenly, there were a lot of people working from home and it has remained that way in many cases as well.

PWInsider shared the email that Nick Khan sent to WWE employees about going back to the company’s office to work.

“We are all fortunate to be three years, one month and fourteen days removed from the moment where stay at home orders were put in place, businesses shuttered (some permanently) and sports seasons canceled. Of course, at WWE and thanks to all of you, we continued to move forward, never missing a week of production in the safest way possible.

As I have had the good fortune of meeting with so many of you over the last few months, it has become apparent to me that our business thrives on creativity and an unparalleled work ethic. All of us physically together is a part of that. As such, we will be going back to what has always been the case prior to COVID, which is a return to five days a week in office.

Nothing replaces our ability to interact with one another as we collectively continue to build and represent our company. We will all connect better and be better.

Monday, May 1, 2023, will be the start of our full time return to office.

For those based in Stamford, our first group has moved to our new HQ and the rest of us will be there shortly. We thank you for your patience with this process. If you have not yet seen it, it is a spectacular work space that we believe you will all be quite proud of.

Thank you for all,

Nick”

It has since been revealed that May 8th will be WWE’s full-time return to the office.

In the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer reported that employees assumed it was a Vince McMahon call even though the email came from Nick Khan.

“This shocked employees who had been working from home because it was such short notice. Employees figured that was from Vince McMahon because he is the person back in charge.”

After retiring from WWE in July 2022, Vince McMahon returned to the company as the Executive Chairman in January of this year.
