WWE Planning “Craziness” For Survivor Series WarGames
How do you like your WarGames? Crazy? Then you might just be in luck with what WWE has planned for Survivor Series according to a new report.
For the first time ever, WWE will be bringing the WarGames match to the main roster. It has been a part of the NXT brand since 2017 starting with just one match, but then it expanded to one men’s and women’s match at WarGames events starting in 2019. That’s what Triple H plans to do at Survivor Series as well.
In an interview with The Ringer back in September, WWE’s Chief Content Officer Paul “Triple H” Levesque revealed WWE’s plans:
“We’ll have a men’s WarGames match and a women’s WarGames match. The tradition of the Survivor Series has ebbed and flowed and changed slightly over time, but this will be similar to that.”
“This will not be Raw versus SmackDown. It will be much more story-line driven. I still look at it as a traditional component to Survivor Series in there because it’s large teams of people competing. We just upped the ante a little bit with WarGames and made it evolve.”
Now Bryan Alvarez of the Wrestling Observer has said on social media that fans could expect some “craziness” in the WarGames matches that will take place at Survivor Series. The reason behind this suggestion appears to be that the company will hope to use footage from the matches in video packages and a lot of previous WarGames participants in NXT are no longer with the company.
The teams have started to be assembled for the women’s WarGames match following Raw in Wilkes-Barre. The team of Damage CTRL and Nikki Cross will be part of the five-woman squad that will face Bianca Belair, Asuka, Alexa Bliss, and two others.
