WWE Considering Brand New City For WrestleMania

WrestleMania 39 may still be just about fresh in the memory but a new report has indicated where WWE could be heading for the granddaddy of them all in 2025.

WrestleMania 39 was another two-night spectacular as WWE took the event to California as the company’s annual spectacular went Hollywood once again. Kevin Owens, Sami Zayn, and The Usos headlined night one of the event as the WWE Tag Team Championship main evented WrestleMania for the first time ever.

Night two of the event had a more familiar feeling as Roman Reigns headlined his third WrestleMania in a row as Universal Champion, defeating Cody Rhodes to the dismay of fans around the world who were willing The American Nightmare to finish his story.

Fightful Select has now reported that WWE is considering WrestleMania making its debut in a new city in 2025. WrestleMania 40 will take place in Philadelphia in 2024 but Minneapolis, Minnesota is said to have been heavily discussed within WWE as the location for the event one year later.

The U.S. Bank Stadium would be the host venue in the city given that it has a dome and seats well over 73,000 fans for Minnesota Vikings football games. WWE sources confirmed that the city was one under consideration and they consider the stadium a world-class venue. There is also a belief that the stadium owners are getting more aggressive in seeking non-NFL-related events taking place there.

Minneapolis city planners are said to have leaked the WWE’s interest to local media some time ago which may not have had the same effect as a few years ago when the city is said to have cost themselves the chance to host WrestleMania when it was leaked that the show was taking place there.
