WWE Confirms WarGames Return For 2023

WWE WarGames

The rumours have proved to be true as WWE has confirmed WarGames is returning to Survivor Series.

The last WarGames matches in a WWE ring came at the 2022 Survivor Series where two of them took place. Bianca Belair, Alexa Bliss, Asuka, Michin, and Becky Lynch defeated Damage CTRL, Nikki Cross, and Rhea Ripley in the women’s WarGames match.

The men’s WarGames match headlined the event as The Bloodline complete with Sami Zayn won the night against The Brawling Brutes, Drew McIntyre, and Kevin Owens. Sami Zayn appeared to have sealed his commitment to The Bloodline in the match, allowing Jey Uso to pick up the win over Kevin Owens but in the end, that didn’t prove enough to Roman Reigns who kept pushing Sami Zayn until he slammed a chair into The Tribal’s Chief back at the Royal Rumble.

WWE Confirms Survivor Series WarGames In Chicago

During the Crown Jewel premium live event after Rhea Ripley retained her Women’s World Championship in a huge five-way match an advert played confirming that Survivor Series on November 25th will play host to WarGames once again.

No participants have been announced for the bout nor if there will be multiple WarGames matches on the show. Reports have said WWE is not planning WarGames to feature a Raw vs. SmackDown theme.
