Current WWE Champion Was Not Cleared To Compete On WWE SmackDown
A current WWE champion is not cleared to wrestle.
Charlotte Flair, who is one half of the Women’s Tag Team Champions with Alexa Bliss, is reportedly injured.
On the August 29 episode of SmackDown, the duo were scheduled to defend their belts against The Secret Hervice’s Alba Fyre and Piper Niven. Niven was replaced last-minute by stablemate Chelsea Green.
As Flair and Bliss made their way out to the ring, they were attacked by Fyre and Green, with Fyre seen repeatedly striking Flair’s knee.
The attack led to the match scenario being altered, with Bliss facing Fyre in a singles match.
During the September 5 taping, Charlotte was seen backstage in a segment with Alexa Bliss. Bliss, who had a stethoscope around her neck, checked on Flair.
Though the former WWE Women’s Champion sought clearance, Dr. Lilly had denied it, Dr. Lilly being Bliss’ creepy doll.
The nature of Flair’s injury remains unclear and it is uncertain when she will return to the squared circle.
Ric Flair Names One WWE Superstar As Good As Charlotte Flair In The Ring
16-time World Champion Ric Flair believes that Charlotte Flair is the best wrestler in the world.
The Nature Boy recently appeared for an exclusive interview with The Escapist, where he revealed that his daughter became a wrestler only by accident.
When asked which WWE wrestler came close to Charlotte as far as in-ring performances went, Ric Flair didn’t hesitate to name a 14-time World Champion.
The only person who I think is close to her, when he is on and healthy, when you think about in ring timing and knowing where you are all the time, is Randy Orton. Randy’s really underutilized.
The 76-year-old claimed that Orton always spoke his mind, and in doing so, may have got on someone’s wrong side, leading to him being underutilized.
