A current WWE champion was pulled from a title match tonight on WWE SmackDown due to an injury.

After two weeks of back-and-forth battle between the Women’s Tag Team Champions Alexa Bliss & Charlotte Flair and Chelsea Green’s Secret Hervice, The Goddess and The Queen were scheduled to defend their titles against Green and Alba Fyre tonight on WWE SmackDown.

However, as the champions headed to the ring, they were attacked from behind by the challengers. The former Women’s United States Champion targeted Flair’s previously injured knee, resulting in the 14-time world champion being pulled from the title match due to injury.

The 39-year-old was seen being helped to the back as her tag team partner went one-on-one instead with Green. Despite the former Women’s United States Champion being close to victory on a few occasions, she failed to beat the former RAW Women’s Champion, who emerged victorious.

Charlotte Flair Returned To Help Her Partner On WWE SmackDown

As Alexa Bliss exited the ring after the match, she was taken out by Fyre. She was then brought back into the ring as Green and her partner continued to assault her.

Surprisingly, an injured Charlotte Flair limped back to the ring to help her tag team partner. Nevertheless, The Queen also fell victim to the former Women’s United States Champion and her Secret Hervice member.

It will be interesting to see how the rivalry between these two teams unfolds in the coming weeks.
