5-Time WWE Champion May Be CM Punk’s First Challenger

CM Punk entrance

CM Punk is the new WWE World Heavyweight Champion.

Punk faced Jey Uso in a singles match on Saturday Night’s Main Event XLI on November 1. The bout was for the vacant World Heavyweight Championship that Seth Rollins relinquished after suffering a shoulder injury during his match against Cody Rhodes at Crown Jewel. The Best in the World secured a win after knocking out Uso with two back-to-back GTS finishers and became the new champion.

Bron Breakker Might Be The First To Challenge CM Punk For His Newly Won Title

Speaking on the post-SNME emergency episode of Notsam Wrestling Podcast, WWE analyst Sam Roberts discussed CM Punk’s victory on Saturday. He also discussed who might be Punk’s first challenger as the new World Heavyweight Champion. Roberts thinks it will be 5-time WWE Champion Bron Breakker. According to his prediction, the match might take place on Monday Night Raw before Survivor Series.
Sam Roberts said, ” I could see having a CM Punk versus Bron Breaker match on Monday Night Raw before Survivor Series. I think it’ll end in a shemozzle. Uh, because you have to look ahead now, right? I mean, the reality is I don’t see this being a short-term thing with CM Punk. I think that whether it was the plan or not, whether we knew we were going to be here at the end of 2025 or we didn’t know, it doesn’t matter. This is the CM Punk run.” (From 15:32)
Bron Breakker betrayed Seth Rollins on the October 13, 2025, episode of WWE Monday Night Raw in Perth, Australia. The betrayal came as a surprise when Breakker, alongside Bronson Reed and Paul Heyman, turned on The Visionary, effectively kicking him out of their faction called The Vision.
