William Regal Set For Surprising Role On WWE TV

William Regal

William Regal will be back on WWE television very soon after agreeing to a very unexpected role for an upcoming title match.

In the weeks following Lexis King receiving advice from CM Punk, he’s trying harder than ever to move out from his father Brian Pillman’s shadow to make a name for himself.

King has seemingly turned over a new leaf of sportsmanship and fair play which is a far cry from his father’s best-known antics as a loose cannon.

However, the perception of Lexis King and his family ties has led to a lack of friends and support for him in NXT meaning he was unable to find someone to stand in his corner for his upcoming NXT Heritage Cup match against Charlie Dempsey. That was until William Regal heard his plight.

William Regal To Stand By Lexis King

Regal approached King backstage during an interview at Halloween Havoc and told the star he’d be in his corner for the title match which means Regal will be across the ring from his own son.

Given Regal’s history with the Blackpool Combat Club in AEW and the fact Lexis King is facing his son, many are worried about how this partnership will work out for King.

Since returning to WWE in January 2023, William Regal’s appearances on TV have been few and far between. Regal has previously shared the ring with Charlie Dempsey after Dempsey won the Heritage Cup for the first time in early 2024.
