Will Ospreay Gets Candid About Life With Dyslexia, Wants To Inspire Others
Will Ospreay has opened up about his battle with dyslexia and shared his desire to inspire others.
The AEW star, widely considered as one of the best professional wrestlers on the planet, has a strong reputation for his verbal skills but has candidly revealed details regarding his reading difficulties.
During a recent appearance on Hey! (EW), Ospreay lifted the lid on his educational challenges growing up in the UK, including being diagnosed with autism and ADHD, whilst revealing his hope that others could take inspiration from his success in professional wrestling:
“There were so many things in my education that I really needed help on and I didn’t get that help and it’s not just me, it’s a a wide bunch of people. So finding out all this about myself, I just want to show people that like, you know, like, yeah, I’ve got autism. I have ADHD as well. I’m super dyslexic. I can’t read.
I had to have someone read my contract out for me. So like, it’s super embarrassing, man. It really is. But like, I feel like I’ve got to the point where I am because of all these things that make me who I am and I want to inspire people. I would like to hope that seeing me doing this stuff, it does inspire other people.”
‘The Aerial Assassin’ has made an impressive start to life in AEW, defeating Konosuke Takeshita in a 22 minute classic at Revolution on 3rd March 2024.
Ospreay is set for another dream match up at AEW Dynasty on 21st April when he battles Bryan Danielson.
