Why Rhea Ripley Was Shocked After Telling WWE Executive About New Tattoo
Rhea Ripley has undergone a significant physical transformation since her days in NXT.
From having barely any tattoos to now sporting around 20 body art designs, the Australian wrestling sensation has developed a great liking for ink.
The 3-time Women’s World Champion is on the quest for a fourth championship, but in the meantime, she found time to speak about her tattoos.
While speaking on Break It Down, the 29-year-old revealed being terrified after getting her first arm tattoo, as she had not sought approval for it.
I remember getting my first arm tattoo; it was my little demon lady. It was a couple days before my cage match with Mercedes Martinez in NXT. I remember walking up to NXT absolutely terrified because I didn’t get it approved at all.
I remember Hunter walked up to me as we were going through the cage match and he goes, ‘Is that new?’ I go, ‘Yeah, I got it a couple days ago.’ He goes, ‘Oh, it looks awesome. That’s sick,’ and walks away.
I was like, ‘Oh my God. Are you kidding me? My boss just said my tattoo was sick and he didn’t yell at me for it or tell me off.’ It was at that point where I knew that I couldn’t really do any wrong, so I just kept getting tattoos and he kept telling me they look really cool. I just kept getting away with it [laughs]. I don’t know how. [H/T: Fightful]
Rhea Ripley Demolished On WWE RAW
Rhea Ripley is currently involved in a heated feud with The Kabuki Warriors.
She faced Kairi Sane in a singles match on RAW. Despite finding herself on the defensive for most of the bout, Ripley managed to secure the win after hitting her Riptide finisher.
However, after the match, she brawled with Asuka, and while attempting to put The Empress of Tomorrow through the table, she got hit in the back with a Kendo Stick by Sane.
Asuka then laid her out with a DDT on the announcer’s desk.
