Vince McMahon’s Name Spotted In WrestleMania 39 Advertising

Vince McMahon currently has nothing to do with WWE creative despite his role as Executive Chairman but recent WrestleMania advertising may hint differently.

Vince McMahon stunned the wrestling world when he returned to WWE at the beginning of 2023, strong-arming his way back onto the company’s Board. Following that move, he was then voted in as Executive Chairman of the company after his daughter Stephanie McMahon resigned from her roles as Chairwoman and co-CEO.

The belief is that McMahon is back to oversee a sale of the company and media rights deals while Triple H continues to run the creative side of WWE as Chief Content Officer.

With WrestleMania 39 on the horizon, the marketing machine of WWE is kicking into overdrive and advertising for the main event of Roman Reigns vs. Cody Rhodes aired on Monday Night Raw. With the theme of the show being ‘WrestleMania goes Hollywood’ given its LA location both Reigns and Rhodes can be seen on mocked-up movie posters.

Eagle-eyed fans were quick to notice that at the bottom of Reigns’ poster read the words “Directed by Vince McMahon.” Despite the obvious faux nature of the posters, it had led many to wonder if McMahon’s reach in the company is more than what is being let on.

Following Monday Night Raw in Ottawa, Cody Rhodes apologised for his segment which saw Paul Heyman apparently suggest that he could keep Rhodes’ wife warm in bed at night.
