Vince McMahon’s TKO Stock Price Worth Several Billion Dollars
A new report has provided some details on how much money Vince McMahon’s stock price is worth with the TKO brand.
It was announced on Tuesday morning that Endeavor has officially acquired WWE. Vince McMahon, who is WWE’s founder and former Chairman who ran the company creatively until July 2022 when he “retired” for about five months, is now the Executive Chairman of TKO Group.
In this week’s Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer wrote about how much of the TKO stock (which has replaced WWE stock) is owned by Vince McMahon.
“TKO stock closed at press time at $100.76 giving the company an apparent market value of $8.376 billion. The WWE had not clarified this at press time but my belief is right now the TKO stock is still just the WWE stock, because if it’s both WWE & UFC, the WWE’s market value with 49 percent would be $4.104 billion, or less than half of what it was and that makes absolutely no sense. But even saying that’s just the WWE value without UFC, that would be very disappointing.”
“Ari Emanuel had talked of the market value of the combined companies at $21.3 billion, and this would have it at $17.09 billion. Vince McMahon’s stock value would be $2.803 billion. Essentially as of right now, he gave up control of the company and his worth is not much different from when he had full control.”
“In theory, the stock price should be much higher based on cost savings of $50 million to $100 million per year, since the increase in television rights fees expected at 50 percent were already built into the WWE stock price. But maybe the actual moves will lead to a price increase.”
Vince McMahon has returned to WWE following a medical leave
It was in late July when it was first reported that Vince McMahon underwent major spinal surgery. For over two months, Vince was not as heavily involved in editing WWE scripts for Raw or Smackdown. However, Vince was back to his editing ways this past Monday on Raw although he wasn’t at the show physically. Vince usually makes his edits from a remote location.
As you can see below, at the TKO official announcement this past Tuesday in New York City, Vince McMahon was on hand with the Endeavor, WWE and UFC guys to show that he is back in action at 78 years old with black hair dye and a unique looking mustache.
