Vince McMahon WWE Creative Fears “Unfounded”
The status of Vince McMahon and WWE’s creative team has made headlines but now it looks like the extent of McMahon’s involvement – or lack thereof – has come to light.
Vince McMahon strong-armed his way back onto WWE’s Board in early 2023 before he was installed as the company’s new Executive Chairman. Despite his position, it was publicly stated that Triple H was still running the creative direction of the company while McMahon focused on media rights deals and a possible sale of the company.
Sean Ross Sapp originally reported that a talent in WWE reached out to him with the belief that “Vince McMahon was back in creative.” Both Bryan Alvarez of the Wrestling Observer and Wade Keller of the PWTorch appeared to doubt that claim and Sapp has now noted that people in WWE “that would be in a position to know” have called the WWE talent’s claim “unfounded.”

With WWE now on the Road to WrestleMania, the creative direction of the company in the lead-up to the show appears to be settled. Roman Reigns will defend his Undisputed WWE Universal Championship against Cody Rhodes in the main event while Bianca Belair defends the Raw Women’s Title against Asuka and Rhea Ripley challenges Charlotte Flair for the SmackDown Women’s Title.
Many fans had pointed to the recent challenge from Omos to Brock Lesnar for the show as a sign that McMahon could have a hand in things but we now know that is not the case.
