Vince McMahon Looked Horrible In Recent Appearance Says WWE Hall Of Famer

Vince McMahon

Vince McMahon’s latest public appearance left longtime wrestling fans and insiders surprised.

Since leaving WWE in the wake of serious allegations from Janel Grant, the ex-WWE boss kept a low profile. But that changed on August 12, 2025, when he appeared in TMZ’s special, The Real Hulk Hogan, marking his first major interview since resigning from TKO and WWE.

Here’s the thing: Jim Ross, veteran commentator and WWE Hall of Famer, didn’t mince words on his Grilling JR podcast while reviewing the special. Ross zeroed in on McMahon’s on-camera presence. He noticed McMahon looked notably worn down, tired, withdrawn, and aged beyond his years.

Ross went so far as to criticize the makeup job, calling it a misfire. He noted that McMahon’s hair and heavily colored eyebrows seemed out of place, adding to the sense that Mr. McMahon was uncomfortable in an environment not under his control.

“I thought he looked horrible. He meaning Vince. I thought he looked tired, withdrawn and it had me concerned. Whoever did his makeup should be fired. He just looked withdrawn and so old… his eyes tell a big story… to me that he looked tired and a little frustrated. The hair thing was one, one issue that caught my eye, having his eyebrows colored, another thing that caught my eye,” JR said.

The drastic change in McMahon’s appearance signaled the strain he’s endured since the shocking fallout of the lawsuit and subsequent resignation. Add in the emotional weight of Hulk Hogan’s recent passing, and it’s clear the man is wrestling with more than just public scrutiny.

Vince McMahon Was Shocked To Hear About Hulk Hogan’s Death

Speaking on the TMZ special documentary about Hulk Hogan, Vince McMahon also shared his thoughts on the demise of his closest friend. McMahon described Hogan, who had overcome numerous surgeries and setbacks, as family. When news of his death broke, McMahon admitted feeling utterly blindsided, the shock underscoring how personal and painful the loss truly was.

“You just don’t think about someone, a family member, or someone that close to you, you don’t think about them passing away. Terry had kicked out, so to speak, of so many surgeries…and, you know, he overcame that. It was a tremendous shock. It was a blow to my heart,” McMahon said.
