The USA Network is ready to welcome a “world-class athlete” to WWE.

Former AEW star Brian Pillman Jr. is heading to NXT with the star’s debut being teased in promos on the show. The second of these followed the same as the first with an unseen man sitting down and flicking through TV channels. The channels showed the Cincinnati Bengals as well as WCW Saturday Night – both things associated with the late Brian Pillman.

The second of these videos was shown at NXT No Mercy and lasted longer with the star flicking through various recent moments on WWE and NXT television before the tiger-striped reflection of his t-shirt could be seen in the TV set.

USA confirms Brian Pillman Jr. is coming to WWE

Now the USA Network – the current home to Raw and NXT, and the future home of SmackDown – has released an article touting the arrival of Brian Pillman Jr. noting that the company has “plucked” the star away from the competition:

“The rumors are true: Brian Pillman, Jr. is the latest pro wrestling prodigy to make the jump to WWE! Following in the footsteps of megastar-in-the-making Jade Cargill is Pillman, Jr., who eagle-eyed members of the WWE Universe noticed making a blink-and-you-missed-it appearance during NXT No Mercy on September 30.

“It’s yet another savvy signing by WWE as they pluck yet another aspiring Superstar away from the competition and welcome another world-class athlete to the locker room. Here’s why the WWE Universe should be excited for the eventual in-ring debut of Brian Pillman, Jr.!”

Brian Pillman Jr. is not the only former AEW star due to debut in TKO Group’s company in the coming weeks and months with Jade Cargill also snapped up by the company – a signing the promotion is looking to make a very big deal of.
