Update On Rumored Confrontation Between CM Punk & Miro
A new report sheds light on rumors that CM Punk got into an altercation with Miro at AEW All In.
AEW All In was a monumental success, taking place in front of a record-breaking crowd inside Wembley Stadium on August 27th. However, backstage drama is once again rearing its ugly head, and in the aftermath of the event, multiple reports have come out concerning CM Punk.
The incident between Punk and Jack Perry is well-documented, and while accounts vary as to what exactly took place, it’s been reported that a physical altercation took place between Perry and Punk and that Perry was sent home from the arena while Punk went on to defeat Samoa Joe in the opening bout of the main show. Punk reportedly met with security after his bout and left Wembley Stadium of his own accord as he believed it would be better for everyone involved.
AEW President Tony Khan alluded to the incident during a post-show media scrum and said that an investigation was being launched. He refused to comment further. It was later reported by multiple outlets that both Punk and Perry had been suspended pending the results of the investigation.
What Happened Between CM Punk And Miro At AEW All In?
On the latest edition of Wrestling Observer Live, Bryan Alvarez reported that Punk also had a confrontation with Miro following his match with Samoa Joe. Alvarez said:
“So apparently there was another near incident when CM Punk came through the curtain, Miro started coming up like ‘What happened with Jack Perry?’ and CM Punk is like ‘So you gotta problem with me now?’ and so they get in an argument and basically it’s like ‘Oh you want to step outside?’ and I don’t know what happened but I do know they didn’t step outside.
“CM Punk ended up back in the trainer’s room but apparently there was an issue with Miro and CM Punk and that’s why Miro has been all over Twitter the last couple of days Tweeting the story that Jack started it was BS and [Tweeting a picture of a cab after Punk apparently got lost on trains on the way from the airport to his hotel] and everything like that.”
Now, PWInsider Elite sheds more light on the situation, debunking online rumors that the confrontation between Punk and Miro turned physical. According to the report, the two men had words, but it did not become a physical altercation. The report also notes that Punk, Brody King, and Miro traveled to Wembley Stadium together in the same vehicle earlier in the day.
Previous reports suggest that Punk also confronted AEW President Tony Khan at All In after frustrations reached a boiling point.
