Update On Goldberg’s WWE Status

Goldberg

A new report has provided an update on Goldberg’s WWE contract status following rumours that he had re-signed with the company.

WWE Hall of Famer Goldberg was last seen in a WWE ring back in February when he took on Roman Reigns for the Universal Championship at Elimination Chamber in Saudi Arabia.

The bout was a short but action-packed affair which saw the pair battle on the outside before getting into the ring where Goldberg hit The Tribal Chief with a Spear out of nowhere. Reigns made a comeback only to be speared again.

However, when the two-time WCW Champion attempted to hit a JackHammer to finish the match, The Head Of The Table countered with a Guillotine Choke. Goldberg tried in vain to escape before passing out at the six-minute mark.

Since the loss, Goldberg has not been seen on WWE TV and in October revealed that his contract would be up at the end of the year. In recent days, there have been rumours that the star has signed an extension to his contract, however, it has now been reported that this is not the case.

According to Fightful Select, sources close to Goldberg have said that would be “news to his reps that negotiate those kinds of deals.”

During the same interview where the star revealed how long his contract had left, he also recalled Stephanie McMahon telling him he had to stop headbutting doors before matches.
