Triple H Was Personally Upset With Ex-WWE Champion’s Promo

An ex-WWE star has recalled landing in the bad books of Triple H.

Karrion Kross’s second stint in the promotion did not end as well as it began. Kross returned to the company with big plans in tow, but by 2025, he was directionless and ultimately left.

There were rumors about backstage heat on him after his post-WrestleMania appearance on a show with Sam Roberts and Megan Morant.

Speaking to Chris Van Vliet on Insight, the 40-year-old wrestler revealed that Triple H was miffed at him after his scathing promo on the show.

He confirmed that the promo was a work and not a shoot; however, not everyone was aware of it.

As I said, worked, but obviously based off of real things. That’s like the fine line of pro-wrestling that makes those connections, right? That resonates with people.

Kross then spoke about going to WWE RAW and learning that Creative was unhappy and there was heat coming towards him.

So we do that, everybody loved it, we leave. The next day was weird at Raw. So aside from everything I’ve talked about, I get a phone call from somebody in Talent Relations. He says Creative is not happy, there’s heat, they’re pissed.

I was like, well I apologize about that, let me go take care of that right now. I have a great relationship with them, they’re right across the hall.

“I said, dude, this is my fault, let me take care of it, no problem. I go across the hall, I speak with some of the writers, I explain everything, they’re like ‘Man, we don’t know what you’re talking about.

I was like ‘What’s going on here?’ I walk around the building and everyone’s saying hello, everything feels fine.

Triple H Was Not Happy About Karrion Kross’ Promo

Karrion Kross later learned that it was specifically Triple H who was unhappy about his promo.

He admitted to speaking to his boss later, dispelling any misunderstanding between them.

I eventually did speak with Hunter, cleared the air with him. It’s a massive company with a lot of different departments, and not all of them are in lockstep with communication.

He was super cool about it once we spoke to him, he understood where I was coming from, and what I was trying to do. [H/T: WrestleTalk]

Whether or not Triple H truly understood can only be speculated because Karrion Kross and Scarlett only spent a few months in WWE there on, appearing a handful of times during tapings.
